在神经管畸形高发的北方城乡地区、低发的南方城乡地区,从1991年6月到1992年6月,采用称量法入户对1 921名婚检妇女进行了膳食调查,分析了其膳食蛋氨酸含量,结果显示平均膳食蛋氨酸含量为1153.55mg/d,其95%范围为565.3mg/d~2 353.94mg/d;南方妇女膳食蛋氨酸含量为1 382.16mg/d,北方妇女为 932.62mg/d(P<0.05);城市妇女膳食蛋氨酸含量为1 187.49mg/d,农村为1 117.44mg/d(P<0.05);一年四季膳食蛋氨酸含量无明显差异(P>0.05)。膳食蛋氨酸含量与神经管畸形在地区分布上的一致性,提示蛋氨酸缺乏是否为神经管畸形的病因之一值得进一步研究。
