大理州位于云南西部,地处东经98°52′～101°03′、北纬24°40′～26°42′,辖12个县市.大部份属滇西纵谷地区,境内重峦叠嶂,江河纵横,群山环抱着盆地、湖泊,为金沙江、澜沧江、怒江和红河四大水系的分水岭地带.属亚热带、暖温带高原季风气候.年平均气温15°C,年均降雨量848.4mm,年均相对湿度66%.大理州为云南省最早证实有恙虫病自然疫源地的地区[1].本文对从大理州分离的部份恙虫病立克次体株进行了比较系统的生物学特性研究,同时对1992～1997年间的恙虫病病人血清进行了血清学分型,结果如下:
