The U.S. Navy will soon select a supplier to provide the AN / WLR-1H (V) 7 radar warning receiver for its aircraft carrier. According to the sources, the system was developed by Broadband Systems Inc. and extended system life through improved maintenance of the AN / WLR-1H (V) 5. (V) 5 system, the only unimproved antenna system. Five of the 35 replaceable units in the original system were replaced, reducing the weight ratio (V) 5 of (V) 7 by 1/15. According to industry sources, the initial contract required the first production of a prototype, and then the production of 6 sets of equipment. The contract may also include three further production options, each containing four systems. SenSyTech companies and broadband systems companies have shown great interest. The U.S. Navy is expected to make a choice in the near future.
