1992年5月28日,由物资部和上海市政府共同组建的我国第一家国家级的金属交易所——上海金属交易所,在中山北路武宁路上海物资中心大厦四楼宣告诞生。到去年年底,上海金属交易所运转七个月。它的实践,有力地说明了中国引进国际期货机制、规范国内现货交易的一整套管理规范和操作方法,是有效可行的,并且已在国际上产生了较大反响。
On May 28, 1992, the first national metal exchange, the Shanghai Metal Exchange, which was jointly organized by the Ministry of Materials and the Shanghai Municipal Government, was announced on the fourth floor of the Shanghai Material Center Building of Wuning Road, Zhongshan North Road. By the end of last year, the Shanghai Metal Exchange was operating for seven months. Its practice has effectively demonstrated that China’s introduction of the international futures mechanism and a set of management practices and operating methods that regulate domestic spot trading are effective and feasible, and have already produced a large international response.
