脑水肿是脑功能障碍的主要原因之一,它既是脑梗死发展到一定阶段出现的病理生理改变,同时对脑梗死的发生发展起着重要的作用,也是脑梗死的重要并发症。基质金属蛋白酶-9(MMP-9)则与脑血管通透性、血脑屏障通透性息息相关,在脑梗死后表达增高,因血管、血脑屏障通透性改变导致脑组织中含水量增加,为脑梗死后脑水肿形成的主要原因之一。如何抑制基质金属蛋白酶-9的表达以减轻脑水肿成为关键。综述了近5年来MMP-9的表达与脑梗死后脑水肿的研究进展。
