通过对峡东至湖南境内板溪群、震旦纪地层的剖面结构及横相变化的研究,结合同位素测年和古地磁资料,肯定了湖南板溪群是扬子地台南缘裂陷海盆内具类复理石建造特征的陆源碎屑沉积,其沉积时限从930±20Ma 至790±10Ma,属青白口纪;峡区莲沱组是扬子地台上一套具磨拉石建造特征的陆源碎屑岩系,其沉积从760~780Ma 起始,属震旦纪。它与板溪群不是同期异相沉积而是新老关系,分别代表地史发展过程中某一特定时期的岩石组合。峡东莲沱组仅相当湘西北地区的渫水河组,湘中湘西地区的观音田组。
Through the study of the profile structure and horizontal phase change of Banxi Group and Sinian strata in the Gorge area to the east of Hunan Province and the combination of isotopic dating and paleomagnetic data, it is affirmed that the Banxi Group in Hunan Province is the inner rift basin in the southern margin of the Yangtze platform The type of flysch sediments are characterized by terrigenous clastic sediments. The sedimentary time is from 930 ± 20 Ma to 790 ± 10 Ma, belonging to Qingbaikikou. The Xianduo-Tuo-Tuo Formation is a set of ground- Sedimentary rocks, the deposition from the 760 ~ 780Ma, belong to the Sinian. It is not with the Banxi group heterogeneous deposition over the same period but the relationship between old and new, respectively, on behalf of the history of the development process of a particular period of rock assembly. The Xiandian Lintuo Formation is only equivalent to the Huangshuihe Formation in the northwestern part of Hunan Province and the Guanyintian Formation in the middle and western Hunan Province.
