社会是人的总体存在,人是社会的细胞,社会总体的现代化,必须由个体———人的现代化来实现。人的现代化并不是现代化过程结束后的副产品,而是现代化制度与经济赖以长期发展并取得成功的先决条件,人是一个国家向现代化发展进程中的根本。一个国家,只有当它的人民是现代人,它的国民从心理和行为上都转变为现代人格。社会是人的集合体,没有人的现代化,便没有社会的现代化。如果一个国家的人民缺乏一种能赋予现代制度以真实生命力的广泛的现代心理基础,如果执行和运用这些现代制度的人,自身还没有从心理、思想、态度和行为上都经历一个向现代化的转变,失败的结局是不可避免的,最完美的现代化制度和管理方式,最先进的技术工艺也会在一群传统人的手中变成一堆废纸。可见,要想实现现代化,就需要人们从心理和行为上都具有与现代化发展相适应的现代素质。我们研究当代的社会心理问题,就是要促进人的现代化,以此推动社会的现代化。
Society is the overall existence of mankind, man is the cell of society, and the modernization of society as a whole must be realized by the individual-man’s modernization. Human modernization is not a by-product of the end of the modernization process, but a precondition for the long-term development and success of the modernization system and economy. Human beings are the foundation of a nation’s modernization development. Only if its people are modern nations and their nationals are transformed from a psychological and a behavioral point into a modern one. Society is a collection of people. Without human modernization, there is no social modernization. If the people of a country lack a wide range of modern psychological foundations that give the modern system its true vitality, and if those who implement and use these modern systems have not yet themselves experienced a change in their psychology, thinking, attitude and behavior toward modernization Transformation and failure are the inevitable outcome of the most perfect modern system and management methods, the most advanced technology and technology will be turned into a pile of waste paper in the hands of a group of traditional people. It can be seen that in order to realize modernization, people need both the psychological and the behavioral aspects of modern quality that are compatible with the development of modernization. Our study of contemporary social psychology is to promote the modernization of man and promote the social modernization.
