The effects of interleukin-2 (IL-2) on pain units in paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus in rabbits and its possible mechanism were studied by intraventricular administration and conventional neuronal discharge guidance.The results showed that IL- Inhibit the discharge activities of thalamic parafascicular nucleus pain units, its mechanism of action may be related to the brain opioid receptor system
