在汇丰集团23万全球员工中只有400位国际经理人,他们是 一支特种部队,在汇丰的全球化扩张中扮演了重要角色。汇丰的IM来源于早年设立的国际事务官(IO,InternationalOfficer)。汇丰1865年在香港成立,注定了从一开始就进行跨国界的业务。为了能管理散布四处的银行据点,汇丰效法“大英帝国统治殖民地”的模式,召募向往海外冒险的年轻人,经过严格而系统的培训,把他们送往亚洲各国见习,并开始每两三年更换一个工作地点的全球游历生活。
Of the 230,000 global employees in the HSBC Group, there are only 400 international managers who are special forces and have played an important role in the expansion of HSBC. HSBC’s IM comes from the International Affairs Officer (IO, InternationalOfficer) established in the early years. Founded in Hong Kong in 1865, HSBC is doomed to conduct its cross-border business from the very beginning. In order to manage scattered bank locations, HSBC followed the model of “British Empire Domination” to recruit young people who are adventurous overseas. After rigorous and systematic training, HSBC sent them to Asia for internship and started every two Three years to replace a work place global travel life.
