美国新墨西哥矿业学院材料冶金工程系用爆炸冲击热压法来快速固结钛合金粉。固结工艺中应用了圆筒式爆炸固结技术,并得到密度97~100%的坯块。使用双筒装置实现熔融区间内颗粒间的较好固结,并减少了断裂,所用双筒中的外筒可快速爆炸并冲击粉末容器。用光学显微术和 TEM 分析了坯块的微结构,粉末固结是由颗粒间熔化来实现的。试验观察到 Ti-662和 Ti-6242+1%Er 坯块中的网状和等轴微结构,Ti-6242+1%Er 坯块中有很细的Er_2O_3颗粒。固结产物的微结构硬度高于通常的粉末

Consolidation process using the cylindrical explosion consolidation techniques, and get the density of 97 to 100% of the billet. The use of a dual tube unit provides better consolidation of the particles in the melt zone and reduces the chances of rupture. The outer cylinder in the binar used can quickly explode and impact the powder container. The microstructure of the billet was analyzed by optical microscopy and TEM. Powder consolidation was achieved by intergranular melting. The reticular and equiaxed microstructures in the Ti-662 and Ti-6242 + 1% Er billets were observed, with very fine Er 2 O 3 particles in the Ti-6242 + 1% Er billets. The consolidated product has a higher microstructure hardness than the usual powder
