他的培养和教育影响了新中国几代数学家,他是第三世界科学院创始院士、美国科学院120多年来第一位中国籍院士。数学家贝特曼著文称他“是中国的爱因斯坦,足够成为全世界所有著名科学院院士”。国际上以他命名的数学科研成果就有“华氏定理”、“怀依一华不等式”、“华氏不等式”、“普劳威尔一嘉当一华定理”、“华氏算子”、“华一王方法”等。他就是中国解析数论、矩阵几何学、典型群、自守函数论、多复变函数论多方面研究的创始人和开拓者,解放后第一个从国外回归新中国的世界著名学者华罗庚。他出生在金坛,其父为取“进箩避邪,同庚百岁”的吉兆,取名罗庚。
His training and education influenced generations of new mathematicians in China. He was the founding academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences and the first Chinese academician in the Academy of Sciences in more than 120 years. Bateman, a mathematician, states that he is “China’s Einstein, enough to be a member of all the famous Academy of Sciences in the world.” Internationally, the scientific research achievements named by him include “Fahrenheit theorem”, “Iowa Inequality”, “Fahrenheit inequality”, “Prudence-Kadima one-theorem” “Fahrenheit operator ”, “China a method ” and so on. He is the founder and pioneer of many aspects of China’s analytic number theory, matrix geometry, classical group, defensive function theory and multi-complex variable function theory. He is the first world-renowned scholar Hua Luogeng who returned to new China after liberation. He was born in Jintan, whose father was a good omen to take “Enjoying evil spirit, same age as Gien,” and named Luo Geng.
