美国和西方主要资本主义国家是在六十年代以后开始逐步重视常规战争和常规武器的。七十年代以来,随着科学技术的迅速发展,各国的军工体制也进行了相应的调整与改组,迄今都已建立了集中统一而又完整齐全的军工科研和军工生产体制。资本主义国家的军工体制是经过较长时间逐步发展起来的,积累了一定的经验,现将其特点概述如下。
The major capitalist countries in the United States and in the West started to gradually attach importance to conventional warfare and conventional weapons after the 1960s.
