辽宁省盘锦农垦局唐家铺农场南北长30里,东西宽10里;有1,659户、8,084口人;青壮年2,404人中文盲1,538人、占青壮年总数的63%,非文盲866人、占青壮年总数的37%,大部份集中于场站。其特点为:1、面积大,人口少,住地分散;2、文盲占的比重很大,扫盲任务繁重;3、非文盲比重小,师资缺乏。3—7月份,由于对扫盲的重要性、必要性认识不足,加上生产任务繁重,扫盲工作始终没有很好开展。所以在7月9日大窪地区召开的积
