兴安盟境内大于2750℃的有效积温区内共有36个乡(苏木)、镇,耕地445万亩,其中130万亩适于建畦亩。目前该区水利建设较多,单产低(近三年平均亩产150多公斤),潜力大,针对此种情况,科技人员与群众相结合于1990~1992年在大于2750℃有效积温区的畦田上进行了紧凑型黄莫417、高油6号玉米高产攻关田(下简称高攻田)实验示范,拟定亩产指标900~1 000公斤。经过三年的努力已达标、靠标,1990年义和道卜苏木新套卜嘎查3亩高攻田玉米达吨粮,1991年金刚嘎查15亩高攻田玉米、1992年西太本嘎查10亩高油6号玉
