光纤偏振模色散是限制高速光纤通信系统传输容量的极限因素,在国内首次用两种方法实现了对光纤偏振模色散的测量;波长扫描法能测量较大范围内的偏振模色散,可以做为基准测量法;改进的OTDR可以近似测量偏振模色散较小的光纤,但它可以看到光纤中的每一段的具体双折射特性
Polarization mode dispersion (PMD) is the limiting factor that limits the transmission capacity of high-speed optical fiber communication systems. It is the first time in China that the polarization mode dispersion of optical fibers can be measured by two methods. The wavelength-scanning method can measure polarization mode dispersion in a wide range. Benchmarking; the modified OTDR allows the approximate measurement of a fiber with less polarization mode dispersion, but it can see the specific birefringence of each segment in the fiber
