清代小学家虽弱于理论,但也思及不少语言理论问题,只是未对自身的认识作系统的归纳整理。文章分为九个部分,探讨了清代小学家对以下诸问题的看法:有声语言和书面语言的关系;语言文字的起源;语言演变(特别是音变);语言共性;标准语与地方语的关系;汉语汉字与异族语言文字的差异;汉语语法;语言本质,语言与思维;研究对象和领域划分。
Though the primary schoolchildren in Qing Dynasty were weaker than the theory, they also considered a lot of linguistic theories, but did not systematically summarize their own cognition. The article is divided into nine parts and discusses the views of primary school students in Qing Dynasty on the following questions: the relationship between audio and written languages; the origin of spoken and written languages; the evolution of languages (especially the phonetic variations); the commonalities of languages; the standard and local languages The differences between Chinese and other languages; Chinese grammar; the essence of language; the language and thinking; the research objects and the division of fields.
