2004年8月银行间外汇市场交易保持活跃,日均成交量小幅增长,外汇供大于求,顺差扩大,人民币兑美元汇率保持稳定。
In August 2004, the transactions in the interbank foreign exchange market remained active with the daily average volume increasing slightly. As the foreign exchange supply exceeded demand, the surplus expanded and the exchange rate of the RMB against the U.S. dollar remained stable.
