林珲,香港中文大学地理与资源管理学系教授,太空与地球信息科学研究所所长,中国遥感中心香港基地主任,中国科学院-香港中文大学地球信息科学联合实验室主任,中国海外地理信息科学协会(CPGIS)创会会长,国际欧亚科学院院士。主要从事计算机制图、遥感、地理信息系统等课程的教学。相继被中国科学院遥感应用研究所、武汉大学测绘与遥感信息工程国家重点实验室、中国矿业大学、华东师范大学、南昌大学、江西师范大学、澳大利亚新南威尔士大学、印度空间部遥感研究所国际培训中心等学术机构聘任为客座教授。主要研究工作涉及多云多雨地区遥感方法和应用、虚拟地理环境、空间数据挖掘与自然灾害预报、交通地理信息系统与物流信息管理、城市环境模拟与评估等。近年来关注将地理信息的应用扩展至社会科学和人文科学的领域,包括地理信息在城市社会集体记忆、中国纺织业发展历史、哲学思想与文化疆界以及宗教历史等领域的应用,推动空间综合社会学与空间综合人文学的发展。

Mainly engaged in computer graphics, remote sensing, geographic information systems and other courses teaching. The Institute of Remote Sensing, Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Remote Sensing, Wuhan University, State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering of Surveying and Mapping and Remote Sensing, China University of Mining and Technology, East China Normal University, Nanchang University, Jiangxi Normal University, University of New South Wales, Indian Institute of Remote Sensing International Training Center and other academic institutions appointed as visiting professor. The main research work involves methods and applications of remote sensing in cloudy and rainy areas, virtual geographical environment, spatial data mining and natural disaster forecasting, traffic geographic information system and logistics information management, urban environment simulation and assessment. In recent years, attention has been paid to extending the application of geographic information to the fields of social sciences and humanities, including the application of geographic information in the collective memory of urban society, the development history of Chinese textile industry, philosophical and cultural boundaries and religious history, The Development of Learning and Space Integrated Humanities.
