This article deals with the relationship between the slave trade in the Atlantic and the development of slavery in West Africa and its hinterland (that is, in central and western Africa such as West Africa and the Congo, Angola) affected by its impact. As we all know, the Atlantic slave trade is one of the elements of the primitive accumulation of capital, marking the dawn of the era of capitalist production and promoting the development of early Western capitalism. However, while the Atlantic slave trade was developed in Europe in the early capitalist mode of production, what Marx called “hidden hired worker-slavery,” it did not immediately lead to capitalism in the Americas but instead developed a naked direct slave
