中江兆民是日本近代著名的自由民权理论家,对日本的自由民权运动作出了巨大贡献,有“东方卢梭”之称。虽然他宣传的是西方的民权思想,但其学说中却渗透着许多中国古代的思想,他对待中国文化并不象很多日本启蒙哲学家一样极力批判,而是相对温和。他的学说积极吸取中国古代文化中的有益成分,可以说中国的传统文化对其影响是根深蒂固的。 Zhong Jiang Zhaomin is a well-known liberal civil rights theorist in modern Japan and made great contributions to Japan’s free and civil rights movement. It has the title of “Oriental Rousseau.” Although he advocated Western ideas on civil rights, his theory infiltrated many ancient Chinese thought. He treated Chinese culture not as strongly as many Japanese enlightenment philosophers criticized but relatively moderately. His theory actively absorbs the useful elements of ancient Chinese culture. It can be said that the influence of Chinese traditional culture is deeply rooted.
