目前水文缆道的循回索走线形式大多数是采取开口式(开口游轮式是属开口式的一例)。用这种形式,对于大跨度的缆道都存在着一个垂度过大的问题。为了解决这个问题,目前有两种处理方法,一种叫“支索架法”;另一种叫“张力轮法”。“支索架法”是采用一种由钢材制成的支架固定在主索上,然后将循回索跨在支架的滑轮上使循回索不致下垂太多。而采用支索架的往往都不止一个,而是采用多个均匀悬挂在主索的整个跨度内,这就增加了缆道布局的复杂性,同时还加重了主索的负担。且支索架本身的安装维修比较困难,采用
