我国东部含油气盆地,在震旦亚代和古生代时主要为地台型沉积,只是在东南边缘分布有加里东和海西褶皱带。而西部含油气盆地则不同,在盆地边缘和盆地内基底为加里东和海西褶皱带,只是一些大型中间地块型盆地内部为地台型沉积。特别令人感兴趣的是西部塔里木盆地内部震旦亚代和古生代沉积与东部扬子地台在岩性特征和化石方面十分相似。这些地台型沉积下伏的结晶基底时代也很近似,均属晋宁期,晚于中朝地台。在印支运动以
The petroliferous basins in eastern China are mainly platform-type sediments during the Sinian and Paleozoic, except for the Caledonian and Hercynian fold belts on the southeastern margin. The western petroliferous basins are different.
