In early 2012, a group of energetic young people boarded planes from Beijing and flew to the Earth’s Antarctic. After more than 30 hours of continuous flight and nearly 20 hours of thunderstorms across the Drake Strait, they reached the magical South Pole desperately desired in their hearts and began their first Antarctic expedition as a small scientist. With their own prepared scientific expeditions, they carry out investigations, sampling and observation on the animals, plants, geology, astronomy and ecology in Antarctica. During the 18-day expedition, they drilled Antarctic ice cores, took a sample of the Drake Strait seawater, and found ancient fossil samples preserved for thousands of years. While exploring the mysteries of science, they have also reaped growth and learned that only by persisting can they gain something.
