众所周知,20年前,位于渤海之滨的唐山,曾发生了强烈地震。在巨大的灾害面前,唐山人民在党中央、国务院的亲切关怀下,在全国人民和解放军的大力支援下,奋起抗震救灾,重建家园。到1986年抗震10周年之际,唐山已基本完成了恢复重建任务,创造了人类同地震灾害斗争历史上的奇迹,1990年荣获联合国颁发的“人居荣誉奖”,“七五”时期,经济发展速度赶上了全国平均水平。改革开放以来,唐山市弘扬抗震精神,大力进行基础设施建设,优化投资环境,使社会和经济得到了更大的发展。1995年全市国民生产总值达到485亿元,“八五”期间年均递增18.7％,超过了全国平均水平。在唐山抗震20周年之际,江泽民总书记为唐山作了重要题词,给680万唐山人民送去了亲切关怀和巨大鼓舞。鉴此,本刊也特派出记者对唐山市进行了采访,并将有关文稿作为“环渤海经济圈建设与发展巡礼”的第一个专题——《阔步走向世界的新唐山》于本期刊载,以使国内外读者了解唐山市走过的艰难历程和所取得的成就,了解唐山人民在巨大灾害面前所表现出的抗震精神,了解正以崭新姿态阔步走向世界的新唐山。
As we all know, 20 years ago, located in the Tangshan Bohai Sea, there have been strong earthquakes. In the face of a huge disaster, under the gracious care of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, the people of Tangshan, with the strong support of the people and the People’s Liberation Army, have risen to relief and reconstruction and have rebuilt their homeland. By the tenth anniversary of the earthquake in 1986, Tangshan has basically completed the task of restoration and reconstruction and created a miracle in the history of human struggles with earthquakes. In 1990, it was honored by the United Nations as “Habitat Honor Award” and “the Seventh Five-Year Plan” period. The economy The pace of development has caught up with the national average. Since the reform and opening up, Tangshan City, to carry forward the spirit of earthquake resistance, vigorously carry out infrastructure construction, optimize the investment environment, so that society and economy have been more developed. In 1995, the city’s gross national product reached 48.5 billion yuan, an average annual increase of 18.7% during the “Eighth Five-Year Plan” period, exceeding the national average. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Tangshan earthquake, General Secretary Jiang Zemin made an important inscription for Tangshan, sending a warm welcome and tremendous encouragement to 6.8 million Tangshan people. In light of this, we also dispatched a reporter to interview Tangshan and put the relevant contribution as the first topic of “Tour of Bohai Economic Circle Construction and Development” - “New Tangshan striding to the world” in this issue So that domestic and foreign readers can understand the hard journey and achievements of Tangshan City and understand the anti-seismic spirit of Tangshan people in the face of a huge disaster and understand the new Tangshan that is taking a brand-new attitude to stride toward the world.
