The Appalachian Trail, located on the eastern shores of the United States, was initially a tribal economic exchange scattered throughout the Greater Appalachian system, the colonial route of postal routes, and residents of the New England Trail formed mountains in the early 1900s Trail club, spontaneous maintenance of road conditions. In 1921, Banton Mackie proposed to connect the trails of the eastern United States to establish a secluded trail away from urban commerce. In 1925, several large mountaineering associations in the eastern United States met in Washington to form the Appalachian Trail Association. The organization conducted mountain path alignment, concatenation, construction and maintenance. It was finally completed in 1937 across 13 states in the eastern United States, with a total length of more than 2,150 miles, all built by volunteers.
