美国农业部、健康与人类事务部每5年联合发布一次《饮食指南》,向美国公民提出居家生活中应该注意的事项和应该养成的饮食习惯,以提高国民的身体素质。1996年发布的《饮食指南》中提出了保持身体健康的三点建议:提倡素食;每口适量饮酒;每天锻炼身体半小时。
The USDA and the Department of Health and Human Services jointly released the Dietary Guidelines every five years to raise issues that Americans should be aware of in their daily lives and dietary habits that should be developed to enhance their physical fitness. The Dietary Guidelines issued in 1996 put forward three suggestions on how to keep healthy: advocating vegetarian food; drinking moderate amount of alcohol per mouth; exercising every day for half an hour.
