单向组合（One Direction）是一支来自英国/爱尔兰的男子乐队。五位成员都是90后，2010年，他们在英国的一档著名选秀节目“The X-Factor”中脱颖而出。当时他们分别作为个人选手参赛，之后于2010年7月组成乐队。One Direction是史上第一个出道专辑便在美国Billboard专辑排行榜获得冠军的英国乐队。2012年，One Direction的首张专辑《Up All Night》和第二张专辑《Take Me Home》分别以450万张和440万张位于年度全球唱片排行榜第三位和第四位，2013年第三张专辑《Midnight Memories》在美国上市第一周销量达到了546000张，成为了Billboard专辑榜历史上第一支前三张专辑均在上榜首周便成功获得冠军的乐队/组合。出道至今全球专辑总销量突破1200万张，在世界各地都拥有超高的人气，是现今欧美乐坛最红的男子乐队组合。此外，在2012年伦敦奥运会的闭幕式上，One Direction演唱了代表作《What Makes You Beautiful》，将全场的气氛推向了高潮。
　　专辑《Midnight Memories》中第二首主打单曲——《Story Of My Life》在iTunes上夺冠长达2天之久，并在多国登顶！歌曲演绎了流行民谣的曲风，伤感深刻的歌词，从少年的角度讲述了一段遗憾的恋情。该曲MV也被导师Simon评为1D出道以来最好的MV。MV中少年回到了成长的地方，翻阅过去，陪伴家人，贴满旧照的照片墙饱含了满满的爱，看得人心暖暖的！
