According to Aviation Week, August 4, 1980, Texas Instruments Incorporated high-speed anti-radiation missiles (HARM) delayed system production due to technical problems in development trials. The system will be used on F-4G fighter pilots and Navy / Water A-7s of the U.S. Air Force / McDonnell Douglas Company. The original plan for the procurement plan was that the Navy and the Air Force had separately purchased them in the fiscal year of 1981 and now they have bought 80 navies in the fiscal year of 1981 and have not yet decided whether the two will buy separately in the 1982 fiscal year. Originally scheduled for this year
