In our previous paper, we proposed a new, prioritized CSMA / CD approach, called the PW-CSMA / CD approach, which was derived by generalizing the Acknowledging Ethenet approach. In [1], we make a theoretical analysis of the performance of the nonpersistent PW-CSMA / CD method. The analysis shows that the nonpersistent PW-CSMA / CD scheme has no significant effect on the improvement of the priority packet performance (ie, the average number of packet retransmissions) compared to the original, non-priority CSMA / CD scheme . In this paper, we discuss another PW-CSMA / CD approach, the 1-persisstentPW-CSMA / CD approach. As with the nonpersistent PW-CSMA / CD analysis, the average channel utilization and average packet retransmission times are theoretically analyzed and compared to the original, non-priority CSMA / CD approach. The analysis results show that the 1-persistnnt PW-CSMA / CD method has the performance suitable for the local computer network to realize integrated communication.
