沉淀操作通常是把一种合适的沉淀剂加到一个欲沉淀物质的溶液中,使生成沉淀。即使加入试剂的速度很慢,而且同时还不停的搅拌,但无论如何,每次加入的试剂必须经过一定的时间后,才能分布到整个溶液中去,所以在两种溶液相混的瞬间,在相混的地方,仍然不免有局部过浓现象。这就是说,在一般的沉淀操作中,整个溶液并不是到处均匀的,而是在不均匀情况中进行的,简称为不均匀沉淀。
