前几年我抓过几个大题材,厂里也认可,但没有钱,投产不了,弄得很苦恼。最后总算幸运,去年拍了《情洒浦江》。片子上头给了钱,我打心眼里感谢,不然,这部片子是拍不成的。但这钱也来之不易。我希望通过舆论界呼吁一下,解决一下对重大题材的共识问题。有人说,造一座桥算什么重大现实题材?也有人认为通过一个工人、一个家庭来写大桥算不上重大题材。那《我的九月》角度够小的了,你能说它不重大?当时要求我们正面写大桥,正面写也有很多难处。正面写作为一个口号倡导一下是可以,但艺术创作还有个从什么角度开掘的问题,可以从小的角度开掘重大的题材。《我的九月》的成功经验,更坚定了我们从一个家庭写大桥的决心。
