老一辈无产阶级革命家聂荣臻同志在几十年的革命斗争中,功勋卓著,举世共知。笔者有幸,能在聂荣臻同志的母校四川省江津中学(现为江津第一中学)读书,并于解放后在该校一直从事工作,耳闻目见(主要是资料).深感中学时代的聂荣臻同志,不管在学习上,作风上,工作中都非常值得学习,令人钦佩。聂荣臻同志从江津县九如镇(现为油溪镇)高等小学毕业后,于一九一七年八月考入江津中学学习,直到一九一九年底离开。那时聂荣臻同志学习刻苦,作风严谨,生活简朴,善于思考。上课听讲专心,课后复习认真,晚自习还在油灯下读书,并常常独自在僻静的过道上面墙而立,集中精力看书。学习中遇到难题,他从不轻易放过,也不轻易去问别人,总是查阅资料,反复思考,直到弄清楚为止。他特别爱好文学,很会讲演,写得一首好的毛
