“任务驱动式”的小学英语课堂教学,是将英语的教学目标整合到一个或多个具体的活动任务中,使学生在使用英语完成任务的同时不知不觉地学会英语,更主要的是它能培养学生通过网络环境学习英语和运用英语的技能。要达到这一目的,就要在明确教学目标的基础上,具体分析和设计任务,明确完成任务所需的其他前提知识和需要采用的教学方法和技能等。简单而言,“任务驱动式”课堂教学模式是要将每个教学活动分解成学生积极参与的、教学活动行之有效的具体内容和目标。
