“Responsibility” is the first work by Roddy Doyle, “The Ballet Town Trilogy”, which takes the experience of a group of young people in the town of Barre in northern Dublin as a narrative component, vividly depicts the band’s rehearsal and Performance process. By exploring the cultural connotation of musical elements in novels, this article attempts to examine Doyle’s thinking on the issue of Irish identity. He seems to want to get rid of the stylized thinking mode that sees Ireland as the “other” of the British, so as to further examine the relationship between the cultural production of this country and identity construction and the culture from the influence brought by the economic globalization to Ireland Producers should have the responsibility.
