Dining outdoors is a long-established tradition in Iranian culture dating back to Zoroastrian safari practices dating back 3,000 years. Up to the royal hearty feast, down to ordinary people’s simple easy picnic, are covered. The Persian Garden, as an important place for picnics, is of great symbolic significance to the Iranian people and reflects its deep love and enjoyment of nature. Nowadays, the simple and yet exhilarating form of picnics continues and deeply influences contemporary urban life. Around the picnic tablecloth, the class boundaries became blurred, political constraints were relaxed and even gender differences disappeared. Iranian picnic art not only formed its own unique derivatives, but also created a unique Iranian cultural space structure. Picnic is an important part of the lives of Iranian people, but the relevant research is still scarce.
