在大大小小的各类金属加工工厂中非金属材料的切削加工是很普遍的。然而,非金属材料的切削加工性能却不同于一般的金属材料,因此,必须用不同的加工方法。由于非金属材料的弹性和硬度性能指标范围十分广泛,因此,切削非金属材料就需要使用一系列新的加工方法,包括刀具、夹具和切削液的选择以及切屑处理等各方面的问题。此外,切削热量的产生和积聚是一个相当严重的问题,能引起非金属材料变形和熔化。这些热量传递到刀具上,会烧损切削刃口,从而减少刀具的使用寿命。
In all kinds of large and small metal processing plants in the non-metallic materials, cutting is very common. However, the machinability of non-metallic materials is different from that of ordinary metallic materials, so different processing methods must be used. Due to the wide range of non-metallic materials’ elasticity and hardness properties, cutting non-metallic materials requires a range of new machining methods, including the choice of tools, fixtures and cutting fluids, as well as chip handling. In addition, the generation and accumulation of cutting heat is a serious problem that can cause deformation and melting of non-metallic materials. The heat is transferred to the tool, burning the cutting edge, thus reducing the tool life.
