通过应用频振式杀虫灯在吐鲁番等地的实验、示范,表明该灯对棉田中棉铃虫等害虫诱杀种类多、数量大;对草蛉、瓢虫等天敌的杀伤作用较同类杀虫灯和化学农药少,且防治成本低。具有省电、省工、对人畜安全和不污染环境等特点,是目前棉铃虫综合防治措施中较理想的物理防治措施
