我县位于滇南,与民主越南接壤;全县有僮、汉、苗、傜等六种民族,24万余人;18个公社,一个农场,132个管理区,1031个生产队,2346个自然村,山区和半山区占90%以上;主产稻谷、玉米、巴蕉芋等作物,并有丰富的药材,以“三七”著称。解放后,特别是五八年以来,全县人民在党的领导下和建设社会主义总路线的光辉照耀下,随着工农业生产的飞跃发展,人民物质文化生活不断改善,全县建成了一套农村医疗保健网,从根本上改变了旧社
