热源的能量最终要散到(可通过传导、对流和辐射各种途径)地球和大气中去。一般认为大的机架或外壳是最终的热沉(heat sink)是错误的,实际上它们不过是传热过程中的中间体而已。
The energy of the heat source is ultimately dissipated (through the various channels of conduction, convection and radiation) to the earth and the atmosphere. It is generally believed that a large heat sink for a large rack or enclosure is wrong and in fact they are merely intermediates in the heat transfer process.
