Describes a simple and effective purification method for the determination of 23 organophosphorus pesticides in various crops including onion plants by gas chromatography. The sample was extracted with acetone, purified by ammonium chloride and phosphoric acid coagulation solution, and filtered by suction filtration. The filtrate was diluted with NaCl solution and extracted again with benzene. The organic layer was concentrated and analyzed by gas chromatography with a flame photometric detector. The column was a capillary tube coated with silicone OV-1701, OV-1 or SE-52 Column (inner diameter 0.53 mm).
