宋德福同志,一个农民的儿子参军入伍,由战士升到将军。他转到地方后任团中央第一书记、中央人事部部长、中央组织部副部长。2000年,他54岁时,来到福建担任省委第一书记。他来福建时,用他自己的话说,“福建正处在困难时期,厦门特大贪污走私案震惊全国,福建的领导干部正在调整期,干群思想混乱,工作无法进展”。
Comrade Song Defu, the son of a farmer, joined the army and rose to the general from the soldier. After he turned to the place, he was the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the minister of the Central Personnel Department, and the deputy director of the Central Organization Department. In 2000, when he was 54, he came to Fujian to serve as the first secretary of the provincial party committee. When he came to Fujian, he said in his own words: “Fujian is in a difficult time. It shocked the whole nation with the large-scale embezzlement and smuggling incident in Xiamen. The leading cadres in Fujian are now adjusting their positions and the cadres and people are in chaos and the work can not progress.”
