目前,在全国2000多家报纸中,无论是主流媒体还是弱势媒体都面临一个重要课题:如何突破传统的办报理念,用经营的眼光和思维拓展报纸的生存发展空间,增强报纸的综合竞争力。在这个大课题下,很多报纸办了服务性经济专刊。《齐鲁晚报》把经济专刊作为拓展生存发展空间的突破口,初步取得了成功。2002年,该报经济专刊部完成了每周70余个版面的采编任务,而且参与组织策划了一系列有影响的行业活动,广告及各项活动全年累计创收6900余万元。专刊既发挥了媒体的桥梁和服务作用,又创造了巨大的社会效益和经济效益。
