瑶族是我国一个古老的少数民族,在漫长的历史长河中,瑶族人民用自己的聪明和智慧,创造了灿烂的民族文化。《盘王歌》就是其中最瑰丽的史诗、最全面的百科全书。据考,《盘王歌》产生于唐宋时期,此后经过历代瑶族同胞的增添、加工,逐渐定型,广泛流传于瑶族人民之中。瑶族没有本民族文字,其文化遗产多是用汉字记瑶音或口碑相传保留下来,在流传过程中难免会有些误差。《盘王歌》流传至今的有三种
