Lying in the west of Africa and the east coast of the Atlantic Ocean, Liberia has a population of about 3.5 million and an area of 113,700 km2. After 14 years of civil war, Liberia is suffering from untold hardships, rebuilt after the war, refugee returns, violent crime, real estate disputes and ethnic religions Conflicts and many other complex issues were assessed by the United Nations as “particularly high-risk countries.” In September 2003, the United Nations passed a resolution to deploy 15,000 peacekeepers in Liberia. By chance, Liu Changhuang became a UN peacekeeper police officer. From August 2006 to August 2007, he ran peacekeeping missions in Liberia. In April and July 2007, he won two UN peace medals.
