天津新港自1957年开始兴建高桩码头,至今已将近25年。在此期间,码头的型式与结构,施工的工艺与方法,历经摸索,开创、探讨、改革,而逐步有所前进。似乎可以说天津新港高桩码头的历史发展是我国高桩码头工程演变提高的一个缩影。一航局柴长清工程师应一些同志的要求,汇集了这方面的资料形成“大事记”。循历史的足迹,可见技术发展之端倪;忆过往前进的路程,也能启发和确定今后改进的方向。因予发表,以飨读者。这篇“大事记”起草于1976年。因此,追述时间以唐山地震前为止。以后的情况容当后补。
