大会经过了一年多时间的筹备,于1964年7月8—18日在北京举行。这次会议是以学术活动方式庆祝学会成立20周年的纪念大会,全国昆虫学工作者提出论文共588篇,有来自26个省区市90个单位的代表134人出席会议,连同列席同志共318人,济济一堂,盛况空前。兹将会议情况纪要如下。 一、开会经过 7月7日,各地代表纷纷来京报到,下午开预备会议,首先由筹委会报告筹备工作,又在会上公推21位代表组成了大会主席团,成立了大会秘书处,并对大会日程作了全面的安排。 7月8日上午,与中国动物学会30周年学术年会联合举行开幕式。中国科学院生物学部童第周主任为执行主席,宜布大会开幕;秉志教授致开幕词,对我国
