In the γ logging theory and data interpretation work, the effective mass absorption coefficient is an indispensable basic parameter. In the past, many researchers have drawn great interest in the determination of this coefficient. In 1957, the γ ray intensity at the center of the saturated model was used to determine the effective mass absorption coefficient of the ore, and the result was 0.028 ± 0.003 cm 2 / g.
