科技日报讯,近日,中国科学院昆明动物研究所离子通道药物研发中心研究发现,TRPA1离子通道介导碘引起疼痛及过敏副作用。1811年碘元素被发现后不久,由于它的高效和低廉,被广泛外用做杀菌剂,并且迄今为止并没有发现对碘产生耐药性的细菌。在当前抗生素滥用、抗生素耐药菌的传播已成为全球性的公共卫生安全威胁的情况下,外用碘在杀菌消毒和感染处理等临床应用方面重新得到重视。但与抗生素相比,碘在抗菌治疗方面并没有得到充分使用的主要原因是由于它的副作用,诸如疼痛和过敏。然而引起这些副作用的原因并不清楚,其分子靶点和机制也从未被研究报道。
Science and Technology Daily News, recently, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Kunming Institute of Zoology, ion channel drug research and development center found that TRPA1 ion channels mediated by iodine cause pain and allergic side effects. Shortly after iodine was discovered in 1811, it was widely used as a bactericide due to its high efficiency and low cost, and no iodine-resistant bacteria were found to date. Given the current abuse of antibiotics, the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria has become a global public health security threat, topical iodine has received renewed attention for its clinical applications such as sterilization and infection management. However, the main reason why iodine is not fully used in antimicrobial therapy compared to antibiotics is due to its side effects such as pain and allergies. However, the causes of these side effects are not clear, and its molecular targets and mechanisms have never been reported.
