Paul Harding in the 2010 Pulitzer prize-winning film “Tinker” tells the story of three generations of missing parents and son’s pursuit of the story. This article attempts to explain its underlying causes from the loss of faith, the change of mode of production and the impact of feminist ideology. The article analyzes the social problems reflected in the story through the relationship between father and son and the psychological tangles of men in the complex social and cultural changes. It reflects the confusion of men in family life in the face of the social reality in which the legitimacy of fatherhood is being questioned Their fear of lost faith and their desire for order.
