义务教育的普及推动着高中教育的发展,高等教育的大众化更是牵引着高中教育迈向普及。希望孩子能上高中而且上个好高中,是多少家长梦寐以求的心愿。然而,中国毕竟人口太多而且农村人口比例大,高中不可能都建在城市内,尤其是人口多的县市更是这样。因此,办好农村高中很有必要,但这又是很不容易的事,因为至少要解决好钱从何来和提高师资队伍质量两大难题。在高中阶段教育接近基本普及的高安市,有省级重点中学4所,规模大、条件好的综合性高中1所。就是在这强手如林的高中群体中,地处农村的石脑中学,在世纪之交的时候,历经起死回生、走向发展壮大的艰苦历程。从1999年至今,在校学生由500余人增加到4000多人;每年招生由不足200人,增加到1400人;校舍由10540平方米破旧危房,改建扩建成42122平方米崭新楼房。办学规模扩大了8倍,校舍面积增加了3倍,学校资产总值增长了近40倍。高安市石脑中学成功地破解了钱从何来和提高师资队伍质量这两道难题,为农村高中教育的健康发展提供了有益借鉴。
